Hobart High School's athletic teams are nicknamed the "Brickies," so-called because of the brickyards that were one of the city's major industries. The football Brickies make history practically every time they take the field, and their state championships have earned the players and coaches national recognition.

They are just one of the many fine sports teams the Schools City of Hobart and the community offer. Each sports team is well-balanced and grounded in a strong educational system.

The unquenchable team spirit that pervades Hobart's athletic activities is equally evident in schools, neighborhoods and city services. Because here, everyone joins in and pulls together to give our city a decisive home team advantage.
