Organization and Support

Hobart Historical SocietyThe Hobart Historical Society is a 501 3(c) not-for-profit organization. The activities of the Society and the Museum are administered by a Board of Directors elected from a membership of over 200 individuals, clubs and businesses.

The Society has no tax support or endowment. Income is derived entirely from annual contributions of members, visitors and friends. There are no paid employees; all work and guide duties are performed by volunteers. Admission to the Museum is free.

Volunteers are always welcome to work at the Society and those who want to help will find a variety of projects available. Those whose committments do not allow gifts of time also play a very necessary part by making regular contributions. All contributions are tax deductible.
